Dental Crowns & Veneers
Restore tooth strength, shape, and color with custom dental crowns and veneers designed around your goals from our Bozeman dentistry team.
Cracked, worn, or discolored teeth affect how your smile looks and how well it functions. Custom dental crowns and veneers restore strength, shape, and color while protecting your long-term oral health.
Dr. James Bond combines digital smile design, in-office milling technology, and advanced restorative training to deliver results that look natural and hold up over time.
Many single-tooth dental crowns, and in some cases partial crowns (inlays and onlays), can be completed in one visit using our in-office digital systems, including CEREC and the Glidewell iO Fastmill. Multi-tooth smile makeovers are planned with digital impressions and photographs, then completed with either in-office fabrication or lab-crafted restorations, based on what fits your case and cosmetic goals.
If you are not sure whether you need a crown, veneer, or a more conservative option, we will walk you through the tradeoffs and the level of tooth preparation involved.
Crowns, Veneers, or Both?
Most smile enhancements involve all-ceramic restorations customized to your situation.
We start by discussing what you want to change, then use digital smile design and trial smiles to preview your results before any permanent work begins. Our approach is conservative, using the minimal preparation necessary while planning for long-term success.
Depending on your existing dentistry, you may need crowns, partial crowns, veneers, or a combination.
Crowns rebuild and protect damaged teeth after cracks, large fillings, or root canals.
Veneers improve the color, shape, and alignment of front teeth.
Composite bonding offers an option for minor enhancements.
We evaluate your bite, tooth structure, and goals, then recommend the option that fits your tooth health, timeline, and budget.
Digital Smile Design & Trial Smiles
For smile makeovers, we use digital impressions and photographs to create a digital smile design, a preview of your new smile. We then 3D print a template to create an actual trial smile in your mouth, so you can see and feel the results before committing to permanent restorations.
This process also helps us evaluate your bite and decide whether clear aligner therapy (clear braces) should happen first, so final restorations require less tooth preparation when possible.
Same-Day & Lab-Crafted Dental Crowns
Many single-tooth dental crowns can be completed in one visit using our in-office CEREC and Glidewell iO Fastmill systems. These systems let us design and mill your crown in-office, with careful attention to fit, bite, and appearance.
When appropriate, this same-day process typically takes 2 to 2.5 hours, with no temporary crown and no return visit. However, not every case should be completed in a single day.
For complex esthetic cases, implants, specialized material needs, or situations where bite dynamics require additional control, we may recommend working with one of our trusted dental laboratories. In these cases, lab restorations can allow more control over shade matching, layering, and material selection.
Our goal is not speed alone—it is delivering the best possible outcome for your tooth, your smile, and your long-term oral health.
Multi-Tooth Smile Makeovers
Patients who need comprehensive smile enhancements can expect a detailed treatment plan that may include:
Professional whitening to enhance color before shaping teeth.
Clear aligner therapy to improve tooth position for more conservative restorations.
Bite adjustment to ensure long-term comfort and durability.
Lab-crafted ceramic restorations (veneers, crowns, or both) for precise color and contour.
After digital planning and trial smiles, we coordinate fabrication and placement so your restorations match your preview. Temporaries protect your teeth and help you function comfortably during fabrication.
Care and Longevity
We pay close attention to how your teeth fit together and your bite mechanics. Proper planning extends the life of your restorations.
With daily brushing and flossing plus regular cleanings, many crowns and veneers last for many years. Longevity depends on material choice, bite forces, and habits such as grinding.
Avoid chewing hard objects to help prevent chips.
